Reflective Practice Groups

consultation

Reflective Practice Groups can be commissioned to support professional groups or staff teams looking for a regular space to reflect and think through areas of practice. They provide an opportunity for professionals to come together to share ideas and knowledge, to use each other’s skills and to learn and grow together.

Consultations and Reflective Practice Groups are underpinned by a range of psychological models including Attachment, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), PACE and Cognitive Analytic Therapy.

Specialist packages of consultation or reflective practice can be designed for residential staff teams which can increase the therapeutic understanding within the home and the empathy and understanding that staff have for the children in their care.

Video Enhanced Reflective Practice (VERP) can also be offered to staff teams wishing to reflect in more depth on their practice.

VERP is a strengths-based,approach to professional development based on relationship building and the awareness of attuned interactions. VERP was initially created using the principles and beliefs of Video Interactive Guidance (VIG). VERP uses video content to focus on the positive aspects and attunemnt in interactions within the workplace. It helps develop the skill of reflecting on our own practice. (Kennedy& Landor, 2015).

Prices

Reflective practice groups: £225 for a 1.5hr session.

VERP cycle (recording, video editing and feedback session) £350 per cycle.
